Infinity Environmental is seeking a skilled Environmental Consultant (preferably registered with EAPASA or SACNASP) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental science, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Environmental Impact Assessment and Approvals:

  - Manage applications and assessment processes for environmental authorisations.

  - Conduct Scoping & EIA, Basic Assessment, Water Use Licensing, and permitting processes.

 

2. Due Diligence and Risk Assessment:

  - Perform thorough due diligence and risk assessments to ensure compliance with environmental legislation.

  - Identify potential environmental risks and develop mitigation strategies.

 

3. Public Participation and Consultation:

  - Facilitate rigorous and inclusive stakeholder consultations.

  - Engage with interest groups, affected parties, and decision-makers to address diverse needs and concerns.

 

4. Policy and Strategy Development:

  - Provide expert environmental inputs to planning and policy frameworks.

  - Guide sustainable development priorities through informed policy recommendations.

 

5. Monitoring and Audit:

  - Provide comprehensive environmental monitoring and audit services from project planning to decommissioning and rehabilitation.

  - Ensure ongoing compliance with environmental standards and regulations.

 

6. Environmental monitoring and specialist services:

  - Assist with specialised environmental monitoring, including water quality monitoring and assessment, rehabilitation and remediation planning.

  - Contribute to management planning for estuarine, coastal and aquatic systems.

 

Qualifications:

- A degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Ecology, Marine Science, or a related field.

- Proven experience in environmental assessment, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder engagement.

- Strong knowledge of environmental legislation and policy.

- Minimum of two years of experience and registration as a Candidate EAP or Natural Scientist. Professional registration preferred.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently manage projects.

- Proficiency in IEM methodologies and tools.
