Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Environmental Consultant Intern to join our team in Observatory. This internship provides an excellent opportunity for hands-on experience under the supervision of experienced professionals. The ideal candidate will be passionate about environmental management and eager to develop their skills in a dynamic consultancy setting.
This is a 6-month, full-time internship based in-office at our Observatory location. While the internship offers valuable professional experience, there is no expectation of a permanent position following its completion.
Key Responsibilities:
Under the guidance and supervision of senior staff, the intern will:

Environmental Impact Assessment and Compliance Support:
- Assist in compiling documentation for Scoping & EIA, Basic Assessments, and Water Use License applications.
- Conduct research and data collection for environmental assessments.

Stakeholder Engagement:
- Prepare communication materials and assist in liaising with stakeholders.
- Provide support for public participation processes.

General Administrative and Team Support:
- Provide logistical support for projects, including preparing minutes of meetings, project programmes, and document summaries.
- Assist with project documentation and record-keeping.
Qualifications:
- A degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or a related field.
- Knowledge of environmental legislation and principles of integrated environmental management (IEM) is advantageous.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- A proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work collaboratively.
